The price board

What people in Dubai come for

Starting prices are what clinics publish before offers. Ask what’s included: X-rays, the crown on an implant, retainers after braces.

By metro

A dentist a short walk from your station

Walking routes along real footpaths and bridges, not a straight line across Sheikh Zayed Road. Pick your stop.

Insurance

Pay with your insurance card

Clinics that say which insurers they take. Your card’s network level (such as GN+, RN or RN3) decides whether a clinic accepts it and what you pay.

DHA register

A specialist or a female dentist

Anyone can call themselves a specialist online. The register lists 7,765 licensed dentists with their grade and gender. Clinics with one on the team:

Languages

A dentist who speaks your language

From the languages dentists list on the register and on clinic websites, and the languages patients write their reviews in.

Hours

When you can go

About 22 in 100 Dubai clinics close on Friday. Hours change during Ramadan and Eid, so call ahead then.

Why stars aren’t enough

In Dubai, almost every dentist has 4.5 stars.

Nearly all dental reviews in Dubai are five stars, so the stars won’t help you choose. These will.

  1. What patients describe

Gentle hands, no pushing extra treatment, seen on time, children who weren’t scared, and whether insurance went smoothly.

  2. The dentist, not just the clinic

Patients in Dubai follow a dentist from clinic to clinic. See who they recommend, and that dentist’s grade on the DHA register.

  3. Reviews about the teeth

A medical centre’s stars include GP visits, blood tests and laser hair removal. Here the rating counts reviews about the dentists only.

Before you book

Four questions to ask on the phone

  1. “Is the X-ray included in the free consultation?”

The most common surprise on a first bill in Dubai is an X-ray or scan charge after a free consultation.

  2. “Do you need my insurer’s approval first?”

Root canals, crowns and braces usually do. Ask the clinic to confirm it and tell you your share in AED before they start.

  3. “Who will treat me?”

For braces, implants and gum surgery, ask for the dentist’s name and check their grade on the DHA register.

  4. “What does the offer include?”

A cheap cleaning offer can turn into a “deep clean” in the chair. Ask what the price covers before you go.
