Where our information comes from

Finding a dentist in Dubai usually means scrolling through star ratings that all say 4.9, and clinic websites that all say “best in Dubai”. We built this to show what actually helps you choose: what patients describe, which dentists they recommend, which insurers a clinic takes, who’s open late, and what things cost.

It collects each clinic’s public Google profile, reads the clinic’s own website and counts what its Google reviews describe, then lays that out the same way for every clinic, so you can compare them.

What you read about a clinic is a fact from its Google profile or website, a count of what its reviews describe, or a name patients use in their reviews. We don’t generate descriptions, ratings or review summaries. The general wording — headings, the questions to ask, these explanations — was drafted with help from AI writing tools and reviewed.

Before a kind of review mention appears, a person reads 30 random reviews behind it and checks they really say that. It must be right at least 28 times in 30. Some didn’t pass, like mentions of sedation, and aren’t shown.

At a centre with several departments, Google’s stars cover every department. There we count only the reviews that talk about teeth, and say so on the page.

A clinic or area page asks search engines to list it only when it has enough information of its own. Pages with less are still here for anyone browsing the site.

Google profiles and reviews were gathered on 10 September 2026 and clinic websites in September 2026. We update every 3 months. Google ratings and review totals change every day, so we round them down, like “4.5+ stars” or “250+ reviews”, to keep them true until the next update. Clinic details change too, so always call to confirm.

Before we show a kind of fact, a person checks a random sample of 45 against the clinic’s own pages; it must be right at least 43 times.

Doctors named in at least five of the clinic’s Google reviews, and named again in the last 12 months, since dentists in Dubai often move between clinics. We show what those patients praise; we never name a dentist next to a complaint.

The walk follows real footpaths, pedestrian bridges and crossings from OpenStreetMap, from the clinic to the nearest metro station, at an easy pace. We only show it when the walk is about 15 minutes or less. Inside a mall or a tower linked to the station it can be quicker.

We say which languages patients wrote their reviews in. That tells you who goes there, not which languages the staff speak, so ask when you call.

We don’t check licences yet. You can check a dentist’s licence yourself on the Dubai Health Authority’s medical directory. Clinics in Dubai Healthcare City are licensed by DHCR instead.

We don’t show it. It changes week to week, so the clinic is the only reliable answer.

The starting prices clinics publish on their own websites, one per clinic per treatment, leaving out special offers. We tried using the amounts patients mention in reviews, but about half turned out to be advertised or quoted prices rather than what they paid, so we don’t use them.

Most Dubai clinics have between 4.7 and 5.0 stars, so stars alone don’t tell you much. A 5.0 from six reviews doesn’t beat a 4.8 from six hundred, so ratings are weighed by how many reviews back them.

Clinics that name their dentists, list their treatments, hours, prices and insurers move up, because that helps you choose. Each group gets one spot near the top, so one group can’t fill the list. No one pays to rank higher.

Clinic details are refreshed every 3 months. Hours, prices, insurance networks and the dentists at a clinic can change in between, so confirm with the clinic before you go.

Only used when you tap “Near me” or “Use my location”, and only in your browser, to sort by distance. It’s never sent to us.

Kept on your device. We never see them.

We use Google Analytics to learn which pages and features help people: how often someone taps Call or Directions, which filters and searches they use, and how far they read. It records what was done on the page, never your name, phone number or anything you type into a form, and Google sets a cookie to count visits. You can block it with your browser’s tracking protection, an ad blocker or Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on; the site works the same.

Fonts come from Google Fonts and maps from OpenStreetMap and unpkg, so they can see your IP address when a page loads. Map data and metro station positions © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).
