Is PRP a mesotherapy treatment?
No, because PRP involves injecting your own blood plasma. Mesotherapy involves injecting a custom cocktail of synthetic vitamins, minerals and hyaluronic acid.
What is the process of the treatment?
The treatment involves a numbing cream, and that will be left on for 30 minutes. While you have the numbing cream on, your blood will be collected to be centrifuged to separate the rich blood platelets and plasma. This will then be applied superficially to your face using a derma pen. The whole treatment will take 1 hour to finish.
How will my face look like after the treatment?
After the procedure, your face will be red for a few hours. You have to avoid direct sun exposure for the next 3 days. After that, remember to apply sunscreen when going outside.
How often should I do the PRP?
This can be done every 6 months or every 3 months, depending on the recommendation of the doctor.
Can I do PRP and Botox or fillers at the same time?
Yes, it is possible to book these treatments in one session. PRP treatment will be done first, then Botox, and filler to follow after.
When can I wash my face after the treatment?
You can wash your face 6 to 12 hours after the treatment.
When can I apply make up?
You can apply light make up after 12 hours and avoid heavy make-up for 48 hours.
When can I have a facial treatment after PRP?
You have to wait for 3 weeks before doing any facial treatment post PRP.
