Equipment, comfort and getting in
Questions the clinic answers
Which dental services are available at Dermax?
The full range: preventive check-ups and cleaning, fillings and crowns, root canals, orthodontics with braces and aligners, dental implants, oral surgery including wisdom teeth, pediatric dentistry, and cosmetic treatments from whitening to veneers. Cross-specialty cases are planned jointly under one roof.
How often should I have a dental check-up?
Every six months for most adults and children — the interval at which tartar buildup and early decay are still simple to address. Higher-risk patients (smokers, diabetics, gum disease history) benefit from shorter recalls, which we'll set individually.
Do you treat children?
Yes — pediatric dentistry is a dedicated part of the department, with child-paced appointments, prevention-first care, and early orthodontic screening from age seven. First visits are recommended by the first birthday.
I haven't seen a dentist in years. Where do I start?
With a comprehensive examination and cleaning — no judgement included. We map the current state of every tooth, X-ray where needed, and give you a prioritised plan: what's urgent, what can wait, and what it all costs. Most long-absent patients need less than they feared.
Do you offer options for nervous patients?
Yes — from unhurried appointments and full explanations through to sedation options for treatment that anxiety would otherwise make impossible. Tell us when booking; we plan the approach around it from the first visit.
Can I get all my treatment done in one place?
That's the design. Implant surgery, the crown that follows it, the gum care that protects it, and the whitening afterwards all happen here, coordinated by dentists who share your record. One clinic, one plan, no referral roulette.
How long do veneers last?
Porcelain veneers typically last 10-15 years, often longer with good care. They don't decay, but the tooth underneath still can — so hygiene and check-ups protect the investment. When they eventually need replacement, it's a planned, straightforward procedure.
Do veneers ruin your natural teeth?
Modern veneers require only minimal, conservative preparation of the enamel — in some cases almost none. The horror stories come from aggressive over-drilling, which is a technique problem, not a veneer problem. We show you exactly how much preparation your case needs before you commit.
