Am I too old for braces?
No. Teeth move at any age, a large share of our orthodontic patients are working adults. The biology is the same; only the timeline can differ slightly.
Does it hurt?
Expect pressure and tenderness for a few days after each new aligner or adjustment, manageable with ordinary painkillers, not ongoing pain.
How long will my treatment take?
Most Invisalign cases: 12–18 months. Fixed braces: commonly 18–24 months, sometimes faster with Damon. You'll get a case-specific estimate at your consultation, from your actual scan, not a brochure figure.
Will I need a retainer afterwards?
Yes, everyone does. Teeth drift back without one. We include retainer planning in every treatment, because a result that doesn't last isn't a result.
How often do I really need a check-up?
Every six months for most people. Some conditions, gum disease, heavy tartar build-up, lots of existing dental work — justify more frequent visits, and we'll tell you honestly if you're one of those cases.
Does professional cleaning damage enamel?
No. Ultrasonic scaling and Airflow both remove deposits from the enamel without cutting into it, and leaving tartar in place is far more damaging than any cleaning.
Is a root canal painful?
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia; what you'll feel is time in the chair, not pain. Mild soreness for a couple of days afterwards is normal. The severe pain belongs to the infection, and ends with the treatment.
Do you accept insurance for check-ups and cleaning?
We work with all major insurance providers and help you with reimbursement paperwork.
