“As an OB-GYN, one of the most common concerns I hear from patients considering Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is the fear of cancer risk. It’s important to clarify this with accurate, evidence-based information. For appropriately selected patients, the overall risk associated with HRT is very low. Current medical data shows that risk is small (only about 4 out of 1,000 patients (0.4%) may experience this risk), varies depending on the type of hormones used, dosage, and duration, and is not applicable to all patients. When HRT is prescribed correctly, monitored regularly, and tailored to the individual’s medical history, it is considered a safe and effective treatment for managing menopause and hormonal imbalance. For many women, the benefits — including symptom relief, improved quality of life, bone health support, and overall wellbeing — clearly outweigh the minimal risks. My…

Equipment, comfort and getting in
Questions the clinic answers
Are lip fillers safe?
When administered by a trained professional following all safety standards and proper injection techniques, and using FDA-approved, hyaluronic acid-based fillers designed specifically for lip injections, the procedure is considered very safe. The doctor will discuss potential risks and side effects with you during your consultation
How long do lip fillers last?
The results typically last between 6 to 12 months, but this can vary based on the type and amount of filler used, as well as your body's metabolism. Other factors, such as the specific histology and anatomy of your lips, also play a role. While some of the filler may remain in the tissue for several years, the expected cosmetic result is generally 6 to 12 months.
Is the lip filler procedure painful?
With the use of intra-oral local anesthesia administered via a tiny, thin needle, the procedure is completely painless.
How much do lip fillers cost in Dubai?
We provide a transparent cost breakdown during your initial consultation with Dr. Safa at our JLT branch, where we offer Belotero and Restylane Kysse, priced at AED 1300 + VAT.
Can lip fillers be dissolved if I don't like the results?
Yes, One of the main advantages of hyaluronic acid fillers is that they can be easily and safely dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase.
What is the minimum age for getting lip fillers?
While the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulation sets the minimum age for aesthetic procedures at 18, our clinic maintains a stricter policy. At our JLT branch, Dr. Safa does not perform these procedures on individuals under the age of 21, except in cases where there is a clear medical indication or a significant impact on facial harmony and appearance.
Will my lips feel hard or unnatural after the procedure?
High-quality fillers like Belotero and Restylane have excellent tissue integration properties. After the filler has fully integrated into the tissue—which typically takes about two weeks—you should not feel any difference in the texture of your lips. During the initial two-week period, it is normal to experience temporary side effects such as swelling, tenderness, bruising, and the sensation of the filler's texture.
How many syringes of filler will I need?
The lips are a delicate and sensitive area with a small capacity for natural-looking augmentation. To achieve results that look natural in a resting position and during movement, while also preserving texture and minimizing future complications like filler migration, Dr. Safa respects the unique size, shape, and function of each patient's lips. For this reason, she does not use more than one milliliter of filler in a single session. If more volume is rarely required, the next session will be planned for a minimum of 3 to 4 weeks later.
