One of the most common questions patients ask before dental implant treatment is whether sedation is necessary during the procedure. Dr. Petros Yuvanoglu, our Co-Founder, explains that in most cases, sedation is not required for dental implant placement. “To place dental implants, you don’t really need sedation. Regular anesthesia is the way to go. The same kind of anesthesia that somebody has to have in order to extract a tooth,” says Dr. Petros. “But we understand that some people are very stressed. So if requested, we have the option of sedation. There are two kinds of sedation that somebody could have: It's the oral sedation, which is made with tablets done in our clinic.
