Dr. Rahul Patel designs and fits both the temporary and permanent full arch prostheses for All-on-6 cases at Smile On Dental Clinic. The prosthetic demands of a six-implant supported arch require specialist-level knowledge of occlusal engineering: the prosthesis must be designed so that bite forces are distributed correctly across all six implants under the full range of jaw movements. Dr. Patel’s specialist prosthodontic training is directly relevant to this and is what differentiates a well-engineered All-on-6 prosthesis from one that fractures or overloads the implants over time.

Gum health: Active gum disease must be treated and fully stabilised before implants are placed. Bacteria from untreated gum disease can infect the implant site and cause implant failure. Patients with gum disease are treated by Dr. Vineetha Varughese before the implant surgery is scheduled.

Questions the clinic answers

What dental services does Smile On Dental Clinic offer?

We offer a full range of dental care under one roof, including general and preventive dentistry, cosmetic treatments like teeth whitening and veneers, orthodontics including Invisalign and braces, dental implants, root canal treatment, gum treatments, and pediatric dentistry for children.

Where is Smile On Dental Clinic located?

Our clinic is located in Al Satwa, Dubai, at Unit 213, AMKM Investment Building, 2nd December Street. We are easily accessible from Jumeirah, Bur Dubai, and other nearby areas.

Do you accept insurance or offer payment plans?

We work with a range of insurance providers and also offer flexible payment options for treatments not covered by insurance. Contact our team before your visit and we will confirm your coverage.

Can I get a same-day emergency dental appointment?

Yes. We keep slots open for urgent dental concerns such as severe pain, broken teeth, or swelling, so you can usually be seen the same day you call.

How do I book an appointment?

You can call us directly at 04 347 2102 or book online through our website. Our team will confirm your appointment time and send you a reminder before your visit.

What languages do your doctors speak?

Our team is multilingual and comfortable treating patients in English along with several other languages. Let our front desk know your preference when you book and we will do our best to accommodate you.

When should my child first see a dentist?

The recommended age for a child’s first dental visit is by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth erupting, whichever comes first. Starting early establishes the dental clinic as a familiar and safe environment before any treatment is ever needed, and gives Dr. Hashmit Kaur the opportunity to monitor tooth and jaw development from the beginning, catch any early problems, and advise parents on the specific oral hygiene and dietary habits that protect young teeth most effectively.

Are baby teeth really important if they fall out anyway?

Yes, significantly so. Primary teeth serve several critical functions beyond chewing. They hold the space in the jaw for the permanent teeth that will replace them, guide the permanent teeth into their correct positions as they erupt, support the development of speech and pronunciation, and allow normal chewing which affects nutrition and jaw development. A primary tooth lost prematurely due to decay or infection causes the adjacent teeth to drift into the gap, reducing the space available for the permanent tooth and creating crowding that often requires orthodontic treatment to correct. Keeping primary teeth healthy until they are naturally shed is an important investment in the permanent dentition.
